I missed it by just one.
Earlier this year when a member on a different forum was having such a run of good luck with his silver coins I was not too far behind.
At that time I made an unofficial goal to hit 150 silver coins for the year. Now to be fair to all of you folks back east my season is a lot longer.
So I have no grand illusions about the total i did achieve this year.
Today I was 2 short of that goal and I went for the gusto today.
As they say I grabbed the brass ring and went for it.
I did wait until almost 11am to get started due to the frost which never did leave today.
I had fun however and did manage a few fun finds today. The first was another busted pocket watch.
And this one is not a real police badge.
It's about the size of a quarter.
So i guess it's time for the keepers. This button sadly is almost toast on the front.
But this is the history of this back mark. Mid 19th C to Late 19th C Firmin -and- Sons London Two-hole buttons. So I am happy with it.
The Swank cufflink is anybodies guess as to age as they started in Attleboro, Massachusetts in 1897 and continue today.
But i will take gold plated cufflinks any day.
