I work public spaces almost entirely and I always get asked what did you find.
Or have you found anything good today.
Yesterday though a throwback from the sixties asked whats in the hole man.
And to tell you the truth this time even after spot cleaning I didn't know.
After hours of electrolysis and tumbling all night it turns out to be a Canadian quarter.
There are other times when we know exactly what we are looking at.
And just a little cleaning is needed to confirm the date.
Sometimes the objects identity is distorted but the time period it comes from can be guessed at.
I think this is a soldier with a "Tommy Gun" :dunno:
