I hit the Gorge again today for around 2 1/2hrs and that is about the max time I can get in this area.
I am working a narrow section and the tide is relentless, if it's not going it's coming.
Here is a picture I took just before getting into the water just upstream from here.
I don't have a shot of this at full low tide but this 1906 picture should show what the height difference is.
PS this is what caused those canoers to dump their canoe last week.
Before I get into today's finds I have an old bullet to show from last nights park hunt. The unfired is from today and it's a 32.
OK almost gold.
Says they are 24 carrot plated. Cheap crap IMO. :rolf:
Today's finds included a strange cork.
And for a while it was neck and neck with first a penny and then a bullet.
The pennies won but you can bet I was looking for the 32 special.
The best thing about chasing this crusty silver dime.
