Yesterday, as always these days, I was in the Gorge again.
And a little of everything came home with me.
The bottles seem to multiply all by themselves.
And of course there is the ever present lead.
The rest of the metal finds take a bit of show and tell.
Here's the junk brass And some keys. The first real keeper of the day looked for all the world like a fishing spoon at first. Somehow I don't think that the 3 cents postage is going to work anymore. At one point there was a funny sounding target so in with the scoop and into the sifter it went. I just had to return to the beach to get this shot. 25 of them in the first scoop. :wowsers: On the way back out this brass pocket watch made an appearance in the scoop.

Finally back at the hole water 18 more come out. I cast around and find another and then this. And finally about 4 feet away the rest of the bunch showed up. 82 in all and they are 32 caliber pinfire rounds. For any of you research specialists the stamp on the bottom is a 7. Now to hope that an iron/steel pistol would last in the salt water for over one hundred years is not possible but one can always dream of finding this 32 caliber pinfire pistol and being brass it would survive. Just before digging this Washington State Tax token this little medicine bottle popped into the sifter. In the sifter full photo, just off center about 8 o'clock, there is a blob that I first thought was a fancy doorknob.

But after breaking off the crust I found out that it is more likely part of an alarm clock.
The final find of the day was nowhere near the pocket watch but it fits the era.
There was a gold wash on it that was flaking off
but I like it this way.

WOW Bruce, All those 32 pin-fire rounds is a great find. Of all the great things you dig this one I really dig.

However I thought you might like the pocket watch fob. Since it is the closest think to a "native"find that I have made in a long time.
