      Nope! That's Edward VII (1901-1910) and he's facing right, in accordance with the tradition. He was close to bald on top and not vain enough to worry about it.

      Edward VIII came to the throne in 1936 and abdicated the same year. The Royal Mint made pattern coinage which was never released in Britain, although a handful of examples of the threepenny piece somehow made it into circulation and are extremely rare items. This is the "wrong-facing" approved portrait he chose, with his parting on view rather than the bald spot on the other side: Click image for larger version
