That is what mother nature was saying on Sunday.
Every single time I headed to the door a new rain squall came through.
Finally around noon I had had enough and headed out anyways.
So I hunted under the trees while it rained and then hit the open grass after it passed.
At one point the rain was coming down sideways in bright sunshine and there was a big bright rainbow in the sky and the same time. Click image for larger version

I find a lot of the older Martini-Henry 557/450 shell casings.
In fact there are two in this picture.
The squashed one is what I find most often. Click image for larger version

ID:	180882 The other curious item in the recyclables is at the bottom right.
It was all squashed and mangled coming out of the ground.
It had the appearance of an old light bulb base.
But the opaque center is actually a mica lens. Click image for larger version

Carrying on with the unusual, I thought that this was a sporting button when I found it.
Nothing sporting about this one though Click image for larger version

Hey Bruce, As always you have found some intresting history on your hunt. That old Henry black powder cartridge is cool. The tank button is a nice find. Is the England art silver?

I honestly don't know what the metal is Ron but I highly doubt that it is silver.

It is possible Josh, I just don't know.
You suggested that it had the look of a wizard. So I cleaned it up a bit more and turned it 90 degrees. Click image for larger version
