Today's post is a tale of two sites and meeting up with a friend.
I had been out at my first site trying to squeak out a few more keepers.
This is a site I have visited many times before.
Nothing spectacular was found there on Friday.
Mostly old spent shell casings. Except for the 303.
The head stamp markings are K II C which make it a WW1 era Kynoch model 2 cordite round.

I did find one thing that is kind of cool.
This is my third calling card printing plate.

This was taken in the mirror.
My battery was starting to show low when I received a text from another digger named Jamie.
His text said that he was in my neighborhood and hanging out with the hobos.
So I knew exactly where he was and said that I would be right over.
After our howdy does we started swinging the coils around in earnest.
We both knew that on this site you have to clear a ton of surface crap to see what is hiding below.
My first find of note from here looked for all the world to be a small lighter at first.
Here it is after 1/2 hr in the tumbler.
It was at this point that I realized that I had found my first Vesta case.
It is not silver. but who cares when you find a first.
