The ongoing saga

This years group hunt up at Micheal's is done and all had a good time.
As I said last time it was shift change and the new arrivals were
Marty the moose on the left and Eric BC on the right.
Everyone who attended found silver this year.
Eric managed to pull a centennial dime. A Canadian V nickel. And this cheesy little pendant. Now who said the Hong Kong was a backward country? The moose did quite well in the two days that he was up this year.
He started off on Friday with three silvers.
Sadly one of his little nickels has gone MIA :sad: But we all saw it so it counts. And on Saturday he found this.

Saturday Micheal also added one more little nickel. It required a bit of reverse electrolysis to be able to read the date.
My accomplishments in the last three days were sadly lacking.
And it was not for the lack of trying.
Nor was the coils size a problem as getting the coil over a target is easier when you are running the big foot coil. And when you consider the type of open terrain we were hunting in many of the places we went size does matter. On Sunday I came off the beach with the better part of five pounds of brass in the pouch and not one coin.
Whereas on Saturday I did manage six pennies. But other than that this is what weighed down my pouch.
I promised Ralph that I would go easy on him. So for that reason I changed my original title.
He and Micheal conspired together to add a little spice to Saturday's hunt.
Ralph still had a coin in his car from his trip to the Frasier Valley Treasure hunt last year.
He went off to the side and pretended to dig up a coin.
Whereupon he walked around showing it off to the guys including myself.
I think that the intent was to encourage the guys who were no having a good day.
We were all shaking his hand and congratulating him.
Until at dinner time he came clean.
This was the coin he got us all going on.
So lets all join in and give Ralph the royal raspberry.
Oh well so much for taking it easy on you Ralph. Sorry my friend.
