  • There is only one guarantee in life.

In the life of a relic/treasure hunter hunter that is.
Death and taxes come to everyone but only those who keep their eyes and ears open will find.

Some things stand right out and say hello.

It took near 20 hours of swing time to make the finds in this post.

My best guess is that there were three 43 steel US wheat pennies in the hole together with the 51 penny. Click image for larger version

Bruce, don't you wonder how some of these items become lost? Pins & watches, one earring & rings galore. Are wearers that oblivious or distracted? It's crazy. All the better for you ofcourse!

I absolutely agree Deb, it is totally nuts what people will lose. And most of them have no idea where they lost it. Take a look at your local online lost and found and you will see. this is just one example that was posted a day ago. How can anyone not notice losing a keyring with 25 or more keys on them?

I lost my keys about 25 or more keys on a ring reward if found Quadra and Johnson or Tillicum and highway or Marigold area is where I think I lost them

Bruce, Your posts are always humorous and interesting. I have to ask, Are you a fan of "Detectorists", a British TV show? The theme song plays in my head whenever I read thru your posts.
      Good luck out there, fldwlkr

Thank you. I do like the Detectorists. Mainly because of its realism. They do not have the unreal hype that is typical for a TV show.
No hooping and hollering. No grand happy dances all over the place. Just two guys out enjoying the hobby.

Neat Finds Bruce, The nozzle is cool. If it's an old Firefighting Nozzle that would definitely make it Valuable.

The thought that it might be an antique fire nozzle did not even cross my mind Josh. I did a quick search after seeing your comment and did not come up with a match. https://www.google.ca/search?q=early...e+fire+nozzles
But stranger things have happened and it is a possibility.

Thanks Chuck. What is more interesting to me is trying to figure out how some of that "junk" got to its final resting place.
How does a 2 pound brass nozzle get lost in the middle of an old park?????
