  • Fun hunt wrap up.

What an absolutely beautiful day it was.
This was the calm before the storm.
When Daniel and I arrived on the beach just before 8am it was so very peaceful.[ Click image for larger version

And Daniel even posed for a rare picture. #GOMINELABING Click image for larger version

However by noon we had 32 diggers swinging their coils on the beach for the group picture. Click image for larger version

ID:	250410 The reason why I said earlier "This was the calm before the storm." is that at times there was an army of diggers swinging away. Click image for larger version

ID:	250412 I tried to make it around and assist those who needed guidance.
Due to many of them not having hit a saltwater beach before.
As the signals got fewer and fewer it soon became time to hold the draws and give away the prizes.
This young man made out like a bandit.
Kai was the winner of the first draw by winning the Minelab GO FIND 40. Click image for larger version

His token was the smallest by less than a millimeter in size.
For the silver coin draw two of the winners did not attend the hunt.
Eric aka threedawgs and John aka Geobound will receive their coins shortly.
Jim aka mcgraw2003 was on site and snapped up the 1843 5 francs coin without any hesitation. Click image for larger version

    The prizes were up next.
Colin received the 1901 US Barber half dollar for the oldest coin found.
He managed to sneak off without having his picture taken.
But manage to get me a picture to post. Click image for larger version

This young man won an interesting coin.
He found coins from the most different countries.
I have no idea what this coin is.
It looks and feels like silver and rings up as silver on my CTX Click image for larger version

He had coins from more than 21 different countries.
We stopped counting at 21 because the next best was 20. Click image for larger version

In conclusion I want to thank everyone who was involved.
Sunday night I was able to get a big smile out of Lynda.
This is Lynda Koenders, and if my memory serves me correctly, her niece and the niece's husband.
With the presentation of $1000 for the petting zoo. Click image for larger version

Boy, Bruce, if I had been there I wouldn't have been swinging a coil, I would have been hunting artifacts on that beautiful beach!
