Another old fart. Here in Victoria beat me to the punch.
Brian, aka Never old, was out long before me today and he was happy to show me his ill gotten gains.
We were there for about an hour together and by the time he left I only had a bit over two bucks in the pouch.
However once he left I managed to find some loose change that he missed.
$21.92 for the 3 hours spent out today. Some potential missiles will not be flying around when the next lawn mower hits the field I did manage to best him in the cool category today.
He may have pulled that chunky silver ring but this trumps his.
It was standing on end one inch below the surface.
The bend in it was from the aerator pushing it down into the ground.

Interesting find, With the Kilt pin, all you need is a kilt and the nose ring and you will be set to hit the parks.

Well my full name is Bruce Douglas Campbell and I was born on Robby Burns day.

Bruce. My Mothers lineage goes back to Selkirk, Scotland where my Nana was born. She was a McManus. There is a lot of debate as to whether she was Irish or Scottish. My Mother insists Scottish but we found immigration records from Staten Island that say Irish. But Mom says Scot soooo......

As an aside, I have a friend in southern Ontario who hunts old homesteads. He swears that he can tell the difference between an Irish homestead and a Scottish homestead by the finds he makes. He is adamant that the Irish knew how to have fun because he finds a lot of coins spread all around whereas the Scottish were penny pinchers to the bitter end.
