Doug McMicking Oh my. We need to talk i will pm you
Thats my moms. I have you a pm. Thank you.

He gave me all of the right responses and we arranged to meet at the park where it was found.
The information that he gave me in regards to the locket made me call the news station and get a reporter out to see the exchange.
When his older sister was getting married the mother gave the locket to her to wear on her wedding day.
This is a picture showing her wearing it. Click image for larger version

Artifact hunting gets enough negative press as it is Ron.
We can all use some good new stories once in a while.

I'm sure it feels good to do something like this for someone who was worthy.
Given the time it was lost and the quick response, it looks like Facebook just may be a
    social media worth revisiting.

I found one very similar many years ago but pictures were not retrievable.

It is a "Specimen" when picked up and taken home.

I hear you loud and clear Jess. I guess that I have a half dozen or more lockets that have no pictures left inside.
It was the fact that there were pictures inside that were still identifiable that prompted me to post it online.
As to Facebook, I use it as a tool Jess. Mainly for research but I also just like to see what others are finding and posting.

According to Doug, his sister was absolutely overjoyed by the return of the locket. By the way she is also a politician. She is a Victoria city councillor.
