  • Saturday's double header.

On Saturday it only took about an hour and a half to fill the pouch.
The surprising part was the amount of modern coins to be had there. Click image for larger version

The circled item turned out to be an alarm clock once I broke through that crust. Click image for larger version

ID:	261698 Feeling unfulfilled I headed out for a park hunt while the beach stuff was tumbling.
As you can see I am still wracking up my brownie points. Click image for larger version

Thankfully none of the coins from the saltchuck were younger that 1996.
That means they were all nickle based and did not turn to slush.
PS they are all still recognizable so off to the bank they go. Click image for larger version

ID:	261703 My brother (who is a black powder fiend) originally suggested 3 different possibilities.
#1 A two band Enfield, #2 A Napoleonic cavalier used during the Patriotic War of 1812, And #3 A trade gun.
The only problem is that those choices and any other that I saw all had longer tails.
So is this a trigger guard from a pistol? :?: Click image for larger version

That thing looks familiar...could be from an old muzzle loading pistol.

did you do any searching for that maker's mark on some of the gun sites??
Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.
