I thought I had seen you post that design before and looks like it is popular in your area. Thanks for the post and I am going to quit being sorry and see if I can look some more for the
English coins but like you I have them a while and trade or give them away.

Johnny the five on the mandrel are from this year.
    I should have lots more.
Unfortunately people like getting them as gifts. Click image for larger version

Thanks Everett. It never ceases to amaze me the things that can be found almost anywhere.

I have found several silver rings with similar designs Johnny. I will see if I can round some of them up and take a picture.

Just like riding a bike, I always work facing the traffic.

Nice finds that 1909 nickel sure is shiny. Be careful along the roadways.

I'll grant you Bruce that you do find a lot of trash but you also turn up some very interesting stuff. I'm always looking over the coins you find to see if I can identify them. It's another challenge like trying to Id an arrowhead but, sometimes, with more to work with.

  • Vetran's week #2 Don't overlook those boulevards.

Thursday and Friday were a change of pace and place this week.
I started out Thursday morning working a boulevard strip.
And as you can see it was right up against the road. Click image for larger version

But these types of things do keep the hunt fun.[ Click image for larger version

And the rewards were obvious. Click image for larger version
