  • Forgive the hiatus. My year to date!

It has been a wet and wild winter on the west (wet) coast.
In January alone there were 27 days of recorded rain here in Victoria.
Don't get me wrong, there are places that got it much worse than we did .
But dag nab, it we live in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains and this is not supposed to happen.
I have spent far to many days this year standing inside looking at this crap. Click image for larger version

Even with all of that rain I have managed to spend some time almost every day out digging for goodies.
And as always I find far to much of this.
I guess that it is time to start sorting into the proper buckets. Click image for larger version

As you could imagine I could go on and on by now showing the daily digs.
But I will not bore you all to death.
What I will do however is just show the last four days.
Not every day is a winner by any means, but they are not bad for short hunts.

And of course we do need to get to the measuring stick.
This year's silver coin count stands at 35 as of today.
And yes Johnny, all 3 are marked S mint. Click image for larger version Name:	19.jpg Views:	1 Size:	318.5 KB ID:	284897

Cool haul Bruce. Some scrap, some bling. The ring with the NA engraving is cool. I like the matchbox car/truck pic also. Is that an old Chinese coin?

I look forward to seeing your finds. By the way that penny with the thick rim is a 46 wheat penny that was made into a button.

Bruce, it's nice to see you are at the very least slogging your Wellies & getting out despite the weather. You've managed a nice haul & spun s good yarn. Thanks for bringing us up to date.

Hey Bruce , that’s a great haul for less then 2 months .
I swear I have to invest in one of these .
You can’t do this down at the hotels .
Can’t imagine what I would find down there.
            Nice to see your finds

I was shocked that it was not pancaked like most of the thimbles I find.

Had missed your posts for awhile there Bruce. Glad to see you're still afloat and getting out and about. Nice hauls and as usual, interesting posts. Like Johnny, I'm always scanning your coins for early American to see what you come up with. Weather's gonna get better, just wait and see. Then your cabin fever will be over.

Luckily cabin fever has never been a real problem for me Chuck. And thankfully seasonal disorder is also not a problem because it sure does get clowdy here for long periods of time.
