I found these items right near my net sinker yday looks like a couple cut nails ...a bolt and a hook but the metal blade? No metal detector...

It almost looks like a broken axe blade. cool eyeballed finds!

Sometimes rusted iron can be exciting to find, other times it is a pain in the butt.

Tell me about it. I must have carried ten pounds of Civil War scrap metal at a detecting event all day long, until I couldn't take it no more and jettisoned it.

But somebody did find an iron sword the same day...
