  • Ps 2

It is a good thing that I picked up an Equinox 800 while in Toronto.
They are super light in comparison to the CTX.
Only 2.8 pounds to the 5.2 pounds of the CTX.
That does not sound like much, however swinging the extra 2.4 pounds out on the end of the shaft would have killed me this summer.
Any day with military is a good day for me.

It will take a keen eye to find the keeper in this pile of finds.
Hint! It is on the tip of the lipstick tube.

Did any of you spot it?
How is this for a tiny pewter ring?

The brass Hames would have been part of a plow horse harness.

I may be stone blind but I can spot an anomaly.
Hopefully someone here can explain the purpose behind the carved bone item.

My thoughts are that it is a native made item, either a thread puller of a hair pin.?????

Most of what you have seen so far is from hunts along the Gorge.
Park hunting is put on the sidelines for the most part in the summer.

However 40 hours of park hunting did produce a little over $200.

The next two pictures were 10 days in the making because my knee blew out and I was on crutches for 3 days.

Hey Bruce, Some interesting finds. I don't know what the bone tweezer would be used for but it sure is interesting.

That is exactly what I think Johnny. Getting out in the fresh air, having fun and getting paid at the same time is the way to go.

      Excellent post Sir !
I’ve done some metal detecting myself, without much luck I might add..That was of course until I started detecting a old high school football field.. Now there was nothing really old but, the entire field was covered in coins. So much so that the detector kept screaming..Of course it’s easy to figure why there were so many coins, refs had coins in their flags, track meets with coins falling out of their warm ups, etc.
That’s not the reason that I think your post is so great though ! Humans have been losing things for at least 12K years.
I presume you finds go back 150 years or so ...So, let’s say there are 100x that amount of things that were lost, that a metal detector won’t point to! That Sir is why your post is so great ! JJ

Is that wallet a find also, or is that yours??

I just noticed it and there’s a drivers license in it...😳

It is a wallet I found, everything was out of date so I made sure that the information could not be exploited and got rid of it.
    Working...
