That is the only way to describe the results of 2018 as compared to previous years.
The reason is quite simple, I just did not put in the same amount of time behind the magic walking stick.
With that being said, 2018 was still a fun year.

133 silver coins were saved from the cold ground.

Several old copper coins, some gold and silver jewelry were also rescued.

I was very happy with the militaria and old buttons that showed up.

And for those of you who think that I have lost my marbles, you can think again.
    Here they are.

Keys of all types were a welcome addition to the collection.

And last but not least, a meager collection of items which were either definitely used by or possibly used by Native Americans.
The bead is likely a clay marble, the hole is conical which leads me to believe that it was modified by a native.
Your guess on the carved bone item is as good as mine.

Bruce your detecting adventures always amaze me. Some really amazing finds to bad the seated dollars were in such bad shape but I would have kept them anyways.

I am right there with you Johnny. I have said time and time again that I wish the Gorge was freshwater and not saltwater.

It will be a whole lot less silver but hopefully the older copper coins and cool old buttons are plentiful.

It was a fun year, even though the finds were fewer.

All that silver. Gold is king but there is something about the look of silver I have as always loved. Even as a kid. It was a big thrill to find a silver coin.
