You ever go looking for gold nuggets like those folks in Australia do??
Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.

2ndoldman, haven’t tried metal detecting but after seeing your finds I’m asking for a detector for my birthday! I retired 2 years ago and spent the time fossil hunting on the beaches in North Carolina. About a month ago I de died to start artifact hunting hopping to find so great worked blades. I have researched our area and have decided to focus my attention on the Neuse River. Hopefully I will have my first find in the near future.

You are in a great area for finding something really cool. Good luck.

I can’t even begin to tell you which is the most impressive .
always liking the old I would say the bone is a type of neddle to sew with .
But then the older metal work always intrigues me .

524 to about 620 AD is the oldest one Tamara. 1797, 1814, 1833 and 1842 are a few of the others that I remember off of the top of my head.
