      Yes, I was told these coins where Silver; and I got them here in Germany.

        Coins from this period were made of silver according to my research. Does anyone else have insight.

          Yes, that 5 Reichsmark of 1936 was minted as 13.88g of .900 fine silver.
          I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.
