  • Metal detecting a pioneer site in the Pacific Northwest.

Hi everybody. My son and I are metal detecting/history enthusiasts. Recently we have discovered a pioneer logging camp site in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest and we have been coming up with some pretty amazing artifacts and personal effects, including pocket watch, 19th century spectacles, and even boots! We made a video to share. There will be two more parts. Documenting the dig. Here’s part one. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing. That’s pretty cool...how did y’all locate the camp? Just a stumble-on, or use old maps or word of mouth?

Nicely edited video my friend. 👍 I highly doubt that you found a logging camp, however you did find an out of the way cobblers workshop.

Thanks. I think you’re right. It all makes sense. Been getting some great bottles of the era around the site as well
