My son Seth got off work early because of rain . So back down the hill with a metal detector will get better pics after a little cleaning . Maybe a 22 about 4 inches deep weird ?

I'd recommend calling someone up later to check the serial number.
The last thing you want is someone to see it has a serial number used in a killing and being sent to jail for a crime you didn't commit.
I mean, no one's getting their hands on my guns, and I'm sure you'll say the same thing... but you can't be too sure nowadays... (Where's the roll eys emoji? Imagine that here.)

From the size of the cylinder flutes and their being so close together I'd guess .22. The makers disc don't ring any bells for me. If you can be sure it's not loaded you might try electrolysis . really does wonders.
