More goodies. I had to get a bigger frame. A couple days ago I went to the site to get some Lat. Lon. readings for recording the site and found a couple more half pennies Today I took a friend Dave. I was saddened he didn't find a penny. However I did find one. Dave Pictured holding an Ox shoe he found today. He also found the brass shoe buckle pictured. Dave also found two more pieces of the iron kettle. I found a Indian head penny down by the river not related to this site. We also found some more piece's of lead. Last Pict. is the iron pulled from site. The top 2 are the ox shoe and an ox shoe nail. The three pieces below that are pieces of the iron kettle. Next piece has a square hole forged in it and the bottom piece is unidentified. I call these pennies but they are all half pennies from the 1700s. There is a sign on the road that says Dales crossing. We are assuming that means it was a river crossing. We also found out that many years ago someone else metal detected the site. The saga goes on.
