Thank you just a flat rock covered in dirt without a metal detector my son puts in the miles and hours. And knows natural from disturbance by man he's out there right now following that formation.

Found a little float while burning brush ran it through the chain mill my best personal finds in a long time. Panned after crushing I will weigh after cleanup. This is from our property right behind the house. From just a couple pounds of ore a few grams of gold. Click image for larger version

This is my best personal finds in a long-time random rock's I cleared from pasture. We brushed this area with a Cat D 6 and have these rocks laying all over behind the house. I'm motivated to crush more rocks today lol Note this is near the top of the hill so vein close by maybe.

I bought a small jaw crusher to break material down before we use the chain mill. We can also run lower grade ore easily to recover values. Click image for larger version

Great crusher and a beautiful gold button.

Those finds make me giggle. The vein may well be exposed on the surface!

I was always looking for a big nugget and have been walking over gold for years unknown to me. All the flour gold adds up when you have a way to collect. It's like an Easter egg hunt picking up little rocks and placing in the bucket lol

Have you seen a quartz vein? Sure looks like the dozer raked over one.

We have quartz veins exposed in several spots on our property that need to be prospected...

I have been thinking about you and all this rain . What’s going on for the gold now . Can you pan ?

Tam the rain has sure helped with the sluicing and panning. The seasonal drainages all have water and the torrents have moved gravel around we found a little gold.

Few years ago on a news cast here it showed retired people hitting the hills to pan .
    good luck 🤙

Just a little update still gathering float / random pieces of quartz last winter's rains and the cattle have uncovered a lot. Some days I need the loupe to even see the small particles of gold but it adds up fast. We did a little brushing with a skid steer now I have plenty of rocks to pick up. Lots of quartz the gold seems to be in it or around it. My son is still finding gold with a detector and brings home some samples from around the find. Just a few fly specks today but the metal detector finds from the last few days were good.

The hunt is still on weather permitting a hobby that pays for itself sometimes. This specimen found with a metal detector was so dirty no gold showing at first but a strong signal. A little wash in the creek and a few spots of gold showing then a long soak in cleaning solution and we have a beautiful specimen.

Beautiful. No telling what kind of vein you have behind the house. I would scrape the heck out of it with a skidsteer.
