  • something for the ladies

as most of you know i make arrow head hat pins and necklaces
seems like guys like them more than the ladies do
so i thought i would try my hand at something for the ladies
    so i started making earrings
heres a pic of the ones i have made so far
    hope ya'll like them

i find it a little difficult to make these small points
and even harder to make a matched pair of them
cant count how many i have broken before i got the technique figured out lol
    thanks for looking

SGB: Beautiful work you do. I really admire folks that have that kind of talent and skill. In the past I have used points I've found to make tie tacks and bolo ties. But I don't have the ability to make the points. I understand how difficult it must be to make a matched pair.

      sailorjoe, thanks for the compliment
knapping is a skill that i believe we all have,as did our ancestors on every continent
i believe it is ingrained in our dna
its just a matter of getting in touch with your primitive side
that and breaking A LOT of rocks
us knappers call it a hobby of tonnage
the more ya break, the better you get
so did you serve in the Navy?

My thought has always been make one and then make a casts to keep them as pairs But what your doing is fantastic.
Look to the ground for it holds the past!

chase, thats not a bad idea
but after i made a mold of a point, how would i liquify the rock to make the cast?
not mention, each pair would no longer be unique if i made them from a cast
