    I wonder how many People may have worked one artifact? Not that one couldn't do it all. Just a thought.

    I guess it's impossible to say for sure Josh. I did read an account of Flintknapping witnessed by an early settler/ explorer were two NA worked together while knapping with one holding the piece being worked and the other striking it.

              i guess it depends on what it is. i can see a big ol' steatite bowl being worked on by more than one person. one guy busts it outta the quarry, someone else carries it back to camp, maybe people take turns scarping and shaping it down? just like today, nobody knows it all. lets say one dude is really good at picking out and carving bow staves, while another guy was better at making arrows? then lets say someones wife or sister braids up the string?  who knows!
