  • KRF and Quartzite Points

This Knife River Flint point was knapped from a thick natural tab. Two of the percussion flakes are thick enough to knap. Most of my KRF tabs have plant matter but this piece has none.

Thanks Johnny, Don't think I can match your gift of beautiful Tallahatta Quartzite but I will keep looking until I find something to send your way.

Thanks Marshall, I think that is one of my better points. The KRF was about an inch thick but it thinned real nice. Average thickness is about 1/4 inch now.

Thanks Everett, Both are translucent lithics and that always adds beauty to the piece.
