  • Precussion knapped

Had a nice spall of Ohio Flint ridge that I bought from Roy Miller at the Silver River Knap-in at Ocala Florida. All work was done with copper precussion tools. Click image for larger version

We don't see him down this far very often so I took advantage of it and bought several pieces.

I usually break the blades I attempt....great work!!!! Also, I cut my fingers a lot too....I noticed the bandaid, was that a knapping cut?????

I usually wear a glove on that hand but I stuck a chert splinter in the finger before I got smart enough to put the glove on.

It’s all part of the hobby....I’ve been cut through gloves with an obsidian splinter before.
