Oh dear. A flint knapped heartbreaker. It still looks nice though!

You can still use it. just square it off at the base and try again.

OOOOOOOHHHH MMMMAAAANNNN! Bummer that is Johnny. But I've got a lot of points similar to that in my collection only I didn't make them. Gotta be frustrating. Beautiful material. Like KP says though, can you square the base and try again?? I'd like to see that.

That piece hade a fault line through it just above the break and most likely would break in that area.

i hate it when that happens
but i do see the perfect shape for a knife blade there

i had a perfect piece of blue fiber optic glass going today.
4 inches long,a but more than 5/8ths of and inch wide, perfect lenticular shape,no hinges or anything on it
on my final pass it broke about an inch behind where i was taking a flake from

oh well, its all part of knapping. if you aint breaking them, you aint making them

Kewl ! I don’t find a lot here..If we do find it Hester says most comes from the Toledo Cerro site west of the Trinity nuclear first test area, over the mountain near Arizona... That’s a long way from here on foot !
