  • East Meets West: Horse Creek Knife / Sky Stone

The blade is Horse Creek Chert from Tennessee. The handle is Elk. The stone is Turquoise. The Sky Stone was important to the Navajo and other South Western tribes. I used Pine Pitch glue and Deer Sinew.

      did you find that turquoise?

do you know where in Tennessee that stone comes from?

And after researching the googles, I found that this is found smack dab in the middle of where my family lives. I am going to have to check it out now. “Pickwick chert” was the first clue....my sister’s place is on Pickwick.👍👍👍
