    I have a Normanskill chert preform that just needs shaping and flaking. I am not sure what I should turn it into. I know that a handful of you guys live in the area where this lithic is found, so what kind of point would this make?

    I only ask, because I misplaced my Overstreet guide, and it has actual size references.

    I agree with hoss a brewerton eared notched or side notched point could be made easily from this preform!
    Can’t find em sitting on the couch; unless it’s in a field

      How about a Meadowood? Or kick it super old school and go for the hardaway side notch, complete with grinding in the base?
