    It’s just beautiful! I disagree that it’s the last of the velvet, I happen to know for a fact that Mexico is loaded with all types of obsidian !

      I only go as far south as Tucson for rock it is a pain to go into mexico and go rock hounding

    Another stellar piece, but I've been meaning to ask, how do you get the flakes to travel so far? I abrade my piece, and push in as hard as I can, and snap down, but they don't go near as far as yours. Usually I have to do percussion on a slab before I flake it because my flakes don't go so far.

      Ethan that is what working fog blanks will do for a guy they are all set up to run long and even flakes.

      It is harder to find the just then regular mexican velvet i only have found that one piece and i got it from Jim hopper it was only 4 inches by 2 inches
