    This stone was not easy to knap but I did manage to finish a point.

          Hey Joshua, I only had three spalls and I didn't cook it. That stone does need some heat.

                    There is some chert that is local to my area that comes out of the Everton formation that looks beautiful but it has been so pressurized that it just falls apart when you strike it. I'd send you some but you'd probably cuss me for it, lol. We also have some black chert that is some sort of fossilized marine life, it looks real nice but it likes to step. Everytime I come across it I wonder if you could work it. I've never found anything made from it.

                    That is for sure. The Everton chert isn't to bad if you can find a nice piece of it. I know they used it to some extent
