I love flintknapping, and the fact that I haven't knapped anything in two months is testament to how busy I've been. I started working Fridays through Sundays and sometimes Mondays. Every other day I work at my own place. So last Friday me and the guy I work for were coming home from town, when a big buck jumped off of a hillside, right smack into his Mini Cooper. The impact shoved the hood into the windshield, and the deer actually came through the windshield , with his leg inches from my face, before rolling off of the car. We're both fine, but I was covered head to toe in broken glass. That took us out of comition, so I finally had time to make a Flint Ridge Ft. Ancient style triangle.

Hey Ethan, That's a dandy triangle. Glad you weren't injured.

It's thin... on day if I feel really bold, I'll notch it.

I've heard of antlers going through windshields. Did it kill the buck? I hit one a couple of years ago doing 45 mph on a back road. Shattered the front end of my car and busted the battery. The buck just walked away. I traded the car not long after the repair. Nice point and I've been wondering where you have been.

When it fell off of the car, it rolled, and unbelievably, ran off. I didn't think anything could survive that.

That's happened to me before but not too that extreme, one hit the passenger side of my car. I wasn't going that fast and luckily it didn't shatter any window or the windshield, it just put a nasty dent in the door. It was a smaller doe that hit me but when I pulled over and got out of the car she was gone.

Nice point. A buck and a mini copper don't make a great match, you all were lucky!
