  • A Very Different Fayette Slag

    This is another piece of slag glass from the Fayette Blast Furnace. This piece is very different. It flaked easy: real glass. It's translucent and full of tiny air bubbles and a little stone.

    Well done on both pieces of Slagle Ron.
    Cool history and sad at the same time. I wonder how many miles of hardwood forest were clear-cut to make that iron.
