Windows 8

My Acer lap top died a while back and got a new Dell PC with a sweet 20 inch screen BUT...It has Windows 8 and it sucks beyond belief. Took both to the computer guy and he transferred all info...BUT....Looks like I lost 15,300 and some of my pictures. inch: I hope it is me but going to have to take this thing back to see if he can figure it out and maybe get Windows 7 put on it. Anybody see 8 yet?? You will hate it.

Mark, I have had Windows 8 for the past 6 months. I have said the same thing as you. I have started to get use to it, but its not a Laptop/Pc platform. It seems more geared to a tablet with the apps and a touch screen. If your data was transferred then the pictures should have been as well. Good Luck!

Hey Mark, Windows 8 is the worst operating system Microsoft ever came up with.
I'm using 8 but I go directly to the desktop mode.

There are software recovery programs out there. Sometimes the data
they recover will be spotty, but still worth a try.
