Are these all pictures that you have personally taken? If they are, kudos to you for the camera work. 👏👏👏

We old family French Canadians all share more or less the same ancestors, the gene pool was relatively small and secluded for lengths of time, especially until the Filles du Roi started showing up!

Yeah, Helen is a distant cousin to two more friends of mine, one a Bourbon, and one a Desjardins, both old French Canadian. The Desjardins friend is also part Micmac...

It’s funny a lot of those last names on that plaque together from the 1600’s,and I still know people with those same last names, we all seemed to stick together and follow eachother around the northeast for these past 400 yrs or so,lol.

Yes this is the spot you told me about thank you Gary! I cropped the picture a little to much and cut the manos on the top out. I wish somehow we could help restore the local artifact collection located within another structure here it is in bad shape. Hope you've had a chance to see it it's worth it! I need another mission thanks for your help!

I carved that into a beech tree years ago and it healed in nicely. The trick is to not carve in too deep or you'll wound the tree, just go enough to scar it.

            • Hoss, it’s called a “float”. It’s used to grind down the sharp points that develop on their teeth as they chew. Horses teeth continually erupt and wear down, but they don’t wear evenly, so they develop sharp points that dig into their gums and tongue. It gets painful, so I’m “floating” his teeth.
