Those are beautiful Ron! I love the colors and closeups! Can't say that I like the spider though.

I planted a lot of Milkweed and Purple Cone Flower for the butterflies. The Monarchs congregate on the south end of the Stonington Peninsula when they migrate south to Mexico in the fall.

      • These pictures don’t do this justice . This was flying over and I literally pulled over to watch and just took this out the window .
So awe struck by this coming towards me at a low altitude .
Moving aircraft around because of the storm tomorrow . Seeing a lot of this .

WOW Tamara, That's a great picture. I haven't seen any military jets in a long time. They closed down K. I. Sawyer AFB many years ago.

Sweet pics! That is one of the B series bombers. Hard to say which one but judging by the body shape it is likely a B-2 but it could be a B-21... I remember they had two stealth aircraft at a local air show about 25 years ago. It was one of the most impressive things I have ever witnessed. Since that day, watching military aircraft has been one of my favorite things. I could watch airplanes, fireworks, and my kids playing all day everyday.

Cool Tam! I used to see Those, and there would be a more normal shaped Jet flying with Them. I call Them Stealth's, shaped like that to not be picked up as easily on radar.

That's an F-117 nighthawk. It's still a stealth aircraft but smaller and geared toward different operations than the one Tam showed. Awesome awesome aircraft!

      • Stealth bombers are huge one did a low fly over at an airshow I saw in Virginia . The size amazing and shape is amazing

we have so many military bases here . Black Hawk helicopters going over in black out at night is so cool . Jets all day blasting over . I love it.

We typically don't see jet's, but we do see helicopters. About once a month, 8-9 Black Hawks, 5 Chinooks, and 6-7 Little Birds fly over the house at 500 feet in the air. Deafening and exciting at the same time!

When you see a squadron of military jets, or helicopters, and you feel that rush of exhilaration, and patriotism, it is the best feeling in the world. This is our military. Those are our planes. This is our home.

        This is America!
