This is a very late post . Thank you to all our past and present
military folks and families . For your sacrifices and hard work to protect us .
If you were ever able to see the movie Taking Chance it’s a good watch . I was actually on V /day sitting waiting to catch
my flight on Delta when there were so many military in full dress . Everyone was asking and I answered it could be a fallen shoulder . I could see the escort Marine .
When we got on the plane they explained that we did have an escort and fallen sholdier . They asked if we could please remain seated while the escort got off the plane .
when we landed most people jump up can’t wait , but there was a silence . I got a tear in my eye because after I saw the movie I knew the cerimony with such dignity that was going on . No luggage ramps running up to the plane , you could all see them waiting in the wings .
I was honored and humbled by the experience and if you have not seen the movie please do .
Somtimes we forget what goes on behind the scenes of these courageous men at war .
