Hi Tom
This looks like it might become a long-running thread to which folks will continue adding their offerings!
My feeling is that we already have enough categories and the thread doesn't really belong in this section any more. With your agreement, I would suggest moving it to the 'Off the Wall" category and making it a 'sticky' so that it remains at the top of that section.
Agree?I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

I had a Lebanese neighbor that introduced me to Makdous, They are "pickled" small eggplants stuffed with chopped walnuts, red peppers and garlic. I have to wait a couple of weeks now.4 PhotosProfessor Shellman

Today we had a Ruffed Grouse for lunch. The most expensive bird i ever ate. He flew threw my window yesterday. We got the window replaced before lunch.

Big double rack of ribs: It finally warmed up enough to get the grill out.

Those are some yummy looking ribs, Ron. What cut of ribs are they? I kinda assume that is pork. I use charcoal on my old standby Weber grill, totally. What kind of heat do you use? There are so many types of grills these days and I think my son has half of them at least. I never learned to use propane after trying a couple many years ago. I never could get the heat low enough.

Thanks Joe, Yes this is pork. I use charcoal and hardwood (Apple, Hickory, Cherry and ocasionally Popular.)
