  • New laser at work

Wayne bought a new laser cutter for work for all you metal fans .
State of the art for fabrication . So what does he do to dial it in to figure it out .
yup make a 3 piece deer target .
    Trees are first circle
    Deer is second circle
    target is the last .
Now weld together and you have a nice piece for your front
    gate !

Now I think the gate should have one on each side . What type of point do we vote for ?
    Lost Lake ?
something that has a good corner notch or maybe stem point .

That is a darn cool piece! He must have been doing it for a while with great results like that.

Lost Lake is my favorite, for sure.

By the way, when you say metal fans, do you mean Black Sabbath? Iron Maiden? Metallica?

I haven't found a metal band I like yet, but there are a few songs here and there I like.

I’ll pull the book out tonight and have him draw which one he thinks will work and then you just draw it on auto cad .
The cad transfers it to the laser machine .
yes I have sent in for the emoji with the hand over the head request .

                      hands down my favorite.

                          I love metal work.

i did this a year ago this week for my Dad’s 80th Birthday.
i made it out of a piece of 3” copper pipe with 1/8” wall, split it and flattened it in a 250ton press, then cut it out on the panto. I mounted it to an old piece of wood from my grandfather’s barn. It’s about 11” tall and 28” long.

the date is when his parents (my grandparents) were married. They walked 3 miles down dirt roads to get married, and my grandpa always said it was real cold that day, but he was so happy he didn’t notice.
