  • Looking to buy my first Paleo piece/point

I am wanting to look and find a Paleo piece of some nature, and add it to my collection Does anyone know any reputable dealer, or person, that wouldn't charge an arm, a leg, and several beaver pelts for something small?

I have the several Paleo bases LM gave to me, but this time I hope to find a whole piece. I probably couldn't afford a Clovis, but maybe something smaller.

I like Penbrandt and Midwest Prehistoric artifacts on the dealers page for Ky and Tn stuff. Those guys won't steer you wrong and sometimes they have budget friendly Paleo.

Ideally you could go to one of the Kentucky shows and make a deal. You could probably handle a lot of paleo and I know lots of dealers and exhibitors (Penbrant and others) that would hook you up on something small that came out of a group they bought.)

Not a "G10" piece, but there are a lot of small fluted pieces that have a ding that people end up with because they want the one "G9 or10" point in the group. I know I have a lot of them in storage.

You guys might sign up for Bennet to email you on his artifact auctions. The email will take you right to the artifacts to be sold. Bennet is suppose to examine every piece .. I look at the next auction from time to time and there are often nice paleo points go at a very reasonable price. Some of them that I don’t like much go for a enormous price. It’s hard to figure.. Anyway it wouldn’t hurt to sign up. I’m not sure as to how he got my email addy, as I never signed up for it, but it is what it is...
