  • Andersonville Georgia Civil War Museum

Took a trip to a Civil War Museum in Andersonville Georgia today and checked out some areas for points. I got skunked on the points but got a chance to see and take pictures of different types of artifacts. Had to crop the photos some to fit; for those who are interested enjoy.

Sorry to hear that Hal; I can only imagine how upset you were. I know I've said it before but thanks again for your service. I have a half brother that would do things like that as well. Long story on that topic. I have no clue on that rifle; sucks that the info below it was cut off.

That looks like a practice rifle that would have been used for close order drills at one of the many military accademys.

I was in there for a hour and 1/2. Would've been longer but a good portion was closed due to covid. Kind of disappointed their Indian artifacts section was closed but was informed that the Indian artifacts were found in the area.
