Earlier this year, I got the idea to build a big display case, mainly just for something to do to spend time with my Grandfather, but I thought that I would use it to consolidate my insect collections that I put together when I was a kid. At the time, I hadn't yet started collecting arrowheads, but it was only a few weeks after we built this that I did start collecting arrowheads. I decided that I would use it to display my artifact collection when it gets large enough (might be awhile), rather than using it for my insect collections.
It is 24"x36" with a glass lid and is made of poplar that I stained. As you can see, I didn't stain the bottom of the inside of the case because that will have foam covering it anyway. What do you guys think? I know it is kind of deep, since it wasn't originally designed for arrowheads, but I think it will work fine. I have small battery powered LED lights that nicely light it from the inside.
