Thanks Tam, most people I know are afraid to eat wild mushrooms which is understandable if you don't how to identify them. We only eat ones we can identify with 100% accuracy. However having too many is not a problem for us as we dry ones that rehydrate well and ones that dont like the corals and the puffball we fry in butter and freeze in ziplock bags so we can enjoy them all winter long. the boletes dry well and I am drying some in my smoker right now.

Here are some of the boletes that I dried earlier this week in the oven until I got the idea they might be even better smoked, so luckily I found some more boletes this evening to try smoke drying.

Nothing like tasty shrooms to top off a grilled steak or simmered in a stew or pot roast. Yummo!

Now see I wish I were your neighbor .. I would love a jar and would find deer meat or jam . That’s what it’s all about .
We use to catch so much fish out here in Hawaii. Yeah I studied mushrooms and just don’t have it down . I can remember going in the woods with my GM and she would pick them .
                Looks wonderful .

We hope to be finding some deer meat come November, and hope that you may find some too.
