  • Pressure Flaking attracts Animals

I don't know why but different animals are attracted to the snap snap snap of pressure flaking. I have seen this behavior from Turkeys, Deer, and today a Racoon. I was sitting in the doorway to my barn pressure flaking a blade. A racoon came straight in from 50 yards out and briefly stood just 3 feet away before turning and trotting off. At first I didn't consider taking a picture. Then I grabbed my camera and tracked him 100 yards in the snow where he found some garbage to munch on. I took a couple of pictures before walking away leaving him to his meal.

Well deer we know is the rut . We hit things together antlers to attract a buck . But I would think other animals think a fight is going on . Just curious I would think .
    Its always about food .
