No kidding !!! Passed down ? I saw a special on TV that had a turtle with a civil war bullet in the shell so they thought 150 years old . And that show was quite awhile back .

I found a pretty good sized tortoise running to it hole in May . In SW Georgia . I didn’t know they were in the reptile family. Wonder how old it was . It was at Least the size of Tommy . I always pull over and take the turtles off the road .
put them back in the stream if there is something around .
