  • Wild Pigs

A pair of sows and some piglets near my son's school. The kids feed them, so they aren't really wild anymore. These are native to HK, not an introduced species.

These aren't nearly as aggressive as the wild pigs back home in Florida. Also face is a lot longer than what I'm used to seeing.

If their snouts were any longer, they'd be aardvarks! Nice picture, though I wouldn't be brave enough to get that close.

I have a friend down in Texas, and he messaged me this morning (different forum) saying that while he and his family were sleeping, a herd of wild pigs destroyed his yard during the night. Grass uprooted, plants destroyed, lawn ornaments smashed, all destroyed.

FWIW on the bravery, there was a pretty solid fence that I zoomed my camera over. I wouldn't get that close to them back in Florida, but I figured I could out run some of the parents and kids at the school.
