That was a great moral hunt. We don't see them until late May.

Mushroom gold there. I used to find them as a kid, absolutely hated eating them. Now that I love them, I can't find any and occasionally buy the dehydrated ones when I can find them.

It was late April into May in Northern Indiana. Tulip trees, May Apples and a couple days after it hit 60+ degrees were usually the recipe for success.

Awesome haul! I never found any, though supposedly where I live they're everywhere.

In Texas I didn’t live in an area where they grew, And I was always in the woods. I’ve only found one before yesterday and that was over 20 years ago in-new Hampshire . Right now the plateau doesn’t have any up here we’re a week+ behind the valleys. On average we’re 4-6 degrees colder at night and during day.

Holy cow, Digger!! I have never eaten a Morel 'shroom...or a truffle except a taste. I missed getting them when I was younger and up more North. They may have them in N. FL but not in Central or South...perhaps another species of Morel, but not those beauties, not that I've seen and I do notice 'shrooms....... Man what an abundance.

I love mushrooms! Morels tip-top, great taste commanding big price. Y’all gonna dry ‘em out for exotic outta-town chefs with big budgets? Or, use ‘em fresh and local?

We just ate several pans of em a few different ways. We are drying most.
