                  The IT guy in my office took it, but he's into photography.

                  Since there was a relatively thick sliver of the sun exposed, I think you needed a UV filter or some type of shaded lens to bring down the brightness. (I'll ask him.)

                Yes definitely need a special lens for the camera to take the pic....very cool clovisoid....i had a chance to see an almost full eclipse in 2017...it was awesome.....took the day off from work just for it......happened around 100 pm in my area if i remember correctly....the day turned dark and cool for a brief period....animals and bugs didnt know what was going on....as hal stated....wonder what natives thought during those times......thanks for sharing....i heard about this most recent event but new it wasnt going to be visible in my location.....i am excited about the saharan dust storm headed my way...should have some nice sunsets toward end of the week
